Common questions

How do I play? Tap a tile to flip it and its neighbors. Filled tiles empty and empty tiles fill. Empty every tile to clear the board. Try to match par, which is the fewest taps it can take. Stuck? Tap Hint.

Is every puzzle solvable? Yes. Every board is built so it can be cleared, and the hint always shows a tap from the shortest solution.

Are hints free? Yes. Hints are always free and never need an ad.

How do stars work? 3 stars for finishing at par or under, 2 stars for finishing within 3 taps of par or when you used a hint, and 1 star for any finish.

When does the Daily change? A new Daily puzzle starts at midnight your time. Solve it on back-to-back days to build your streak.

How do I unlock skins? In the app, keep playing to reach the play goal shown on a tile style or board paper, or tap "Watch ad to unlock" on the Skins screen to unlock one sooner. The skin unlocks when the ad finishes and stays unlocked. Watching is always optional. On the web, every skin is already unlocked.

Are there ads? The Twoflip game itself has no ads or purchases on the web; ads on the Two Tone Arcade page around it are covered by the arcade's own Privacy Policy. In the app, the only ads are the optional "Watch ad to unlock" buttons for skins. They only play when you tap one. There are no in-app purchases.

I got a new phone. Will my progress move? Progress, stars, streak and skins are saved only on your device, so they don't transfer.

How do I change ad choices? In the app, open Settings, then Ad choices, to reopen the consent form. On iPhone and iPad you can also change tracking permission in your device's Settings; on Android you can reset your advertising ID in device settings.

How do I delete my data? We don't keep any personal data or accounts. Your game data lives only on your device, so uninstalling the app (or clearing the site's data in your browser) deletes it. For any other data request, including ad data, email contractorlyservices@gmail.com and we will help.
